  The
prices for jewelry findings has increased significantly in the past
couple of months. Unfortunately, the prices for gold and silver
have increased and these metals are the raw materials for most jewelry
findings. For those who are concerned over the high price for
jewelry findings, here is a project that will allow you to make your own
ear wires. Even better, this project will allow you to customize
your ear wires so that they appear hand made by a professional.
In this project, we use a 1/2" Super Peg to make a round ear wire, but we make the ear wire with a 2mm to 4mm bead. Ideally, the bead would be the same color as the larger beads used in the body of the earring.
