Money Jewelry Wire & Beads Earrings -- Jewelry Making Project -- Page 1

On the relatively rare occasions where we are demonstrating our WigJig Tools at a show, we try to talk to people, including the people who already have a WigJig.  One thing that we always ask people who tell us that they sell jewelry made using our WigJig tools is "Which design is most successful for you?"  The most frequent response that we get to this question is that these Money jewelry wire and beads earrings sell the best. 

Made in Gold-filled and considering today's very high price for gold, these earrings use about $12 worth of materials.  Made in sterling silver, the price for materials used to make these earrings would be slightly less, approximately $10.  We have been told that these earrings sell for around $40 per pair depending upon the beads used.  Given that one rule for pricing earrings is to price them at three times your materials, $40 is a fair price for these Money Earrings, made in either sterling silver or gold-filled wire, metal beads and ear wires. 

This earring design has been previously documented on our web site as our Treble Clef earrings.  The instructions described in the following web page use a different approach to make the earrings, but the end result is similar.  We do believe that the approach documented here is a better, more consistent way to make these earrings.  You can view our older Treble Clef instructions by selecting here.

Skills Required:

• Ability to cut wire with with a flush cutter.
• Ability to straighten wire with nylon jaw pliers.
• Ability to make a "P" Loop in wire.
• Ability to use a WigJig tool to make wire components. 
• Ability to open and close loops to connect wire components.
