Our first alternative design is one of several new ways to connect between the ear wire and the earring body. In this alternative you can use chain to connect between the earring body and the ear wire, you can use any of several ways of connecting between the earring body and the ear wire. Please select here to view several alternatives for making a 2 to 1 connector for connecting between the ear wire and the earring body.
Our next alternative for these earrings is a chandelier earring design like the ones shown at right. In the first alternative we connect the earring body directly to the ear wire and we add a new wire component at the bottom. In the second alternative, we used the spacer bars, but used shorter spacer bars than with our initial design. These alternatives are an intermediate jewelry making project. Making the main component of the earring body is done using the same steps that we described starting on page 2 here. Making the bottom wire component is done using the pattern shown at left. Please select here for a template for making these chandelier earrings.
On the next page we will provide some instructions on how to make the bottom wire component for these chandelier earrings.
