|WigJig||WigJig is the trademarked brand name for the best, most versatile, and easiest to use jewelry making jigs. These jigs provide a matrix of holes in a clear acrylic base that allow positioning of metal pegs to make jewelry components. (Yes we are prejudiced.) WigJig jigs can be purchased with accessories including the Spiral Maker, Super Pegs and extra metal pegs. You can view all 6 WigJig jewelry making jigs here. Please note that there are many manufacturers who make jewelry making jigs, but only those made by our company can be called WigJigs.|
|work hardening||Work hardening is the process of making a jewelry component more permanent and stiffer (hardening) by flexing the component repeatedly. This can be accomplished with your fingers, with nylon jaw pliers, or some level of work hardening is accomplished by the initial shaping of the wire with pliers and/or a jewelry making jig.|
|wrapped bead link||The wrapped bead link is a link made using your round nose pliers and bent chain nose pliers, one or more beads and some wire. This link is used to connect wire components including components made on a WigJig tool, sections of commercial chain, or other wrapped bead links. Because the ends of the link are wrapped closed, this link is very strong. Our best instructions for making the wrapped bead link are in our online book, "Wire Design Basics". We also have free instructions here and here.|
