5 loop wire component appears as shown at right. The steps to make
this wire component are described below.
Step 9: Cut a piece of 18 gauge wire 2 3/4 inches long.
Step 10: Using round nose pliers or step jaw pliers, make a loop in the end of this wire segment with the flush cut.
Step 11: Hold the wire by the loop and straighten the wire by pulling it repeatedly through the jaws of your nylon jaw pliers.
Step 12: Position pegs 4 and 5 in your jig. Place the initial loop on peg 4 and wrap the wire around peg 5. Push the wire far enough that it will rest adjacent to the empty hole for peg 6 with no pressure applied.
Step 13: Add peg 6 and wrap the wire around peg 6 leaving the wire adjacent to the hole for peg 7 with no pressure applied.
Step 14: Add peg 7 and wrap the wire around peg 7 leaving the wire adjacent to the hole for peg 8 with no pressure applied.
Step 15: Add peg 8 and wrap the wire around peg 8.
Step 16: Remove the wire from the jig and close the final loop with your bent chain nose pliers. Squeeze the wire component in the jaws of your nylon jaw pliers to flatten and harden the piece.
These instructions continue on the following web page with the steps to make the 4 Loop wire component.
